On the other hand, Health recorded 407 new confirmed positive cases, 102 probable positive cases and 192 positive suspicious cases. Given this, the total number of confirmed cases amounted to 67,426, while the total number of probable cases reached 3,998. The universe of suspected cases amounts to 51,457.

The Agency noted that the total number of confirmed cases was adjusted after the addition of 152 cases with sampling data from 24 August to 8 December. The total probable cases were also adjusted after the remaining 43 cases that had a positive molecular test. Two cases with a sampling date of 4 and 7 December were also added to this category.

Similarly, the total number of suspected cases was adjusted by subtracting 62 cases that had a positive molecular test and one case that had a positive antigen test. 127 cases with sampling data recorded between 9 September and 3 December were also added. Probable death is the death of a patient who was diagnosed with COVID-19 by an antigen test or whose clinical picture meets the criteria to believe that he or she had COVID-19 but never had a molecular or antigen test to detect the virus. . Meanwhile, suspicious death refers to the death of a person in whom a specific antibody is detected in serum, plasma or by a serological test with their blood.
