A number of new guest hosts have been announced for the full-length show “Jeopardy!” Savannah Guthrie, Anderson Cooper, Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Sanjay Gupta will join a growing number of famous hosts – including Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers, Bill Whitaker and Mayim Bialik.
As part of the time of each television personality on the show, the money will be donated to a charity of your choice – amounts equal to the total earnings of competitors in the weeks they appear.
“We look forward to each guest hosting bringing their unique skills to the show and our competitors earning a lot of money that we can match for charity,” said executive producer Mike Richards.
After a long time the host Alex Trebek deceased of pancreatic cancer in November last year, rumors were circulating about its potential replacement. The winner “Jeopardy! Greatest of All Time ”, Ken Jennings, was eventually chosen as the consultant producer and then announced as the interim host. He made himself “Jeopardy!” debut on January 11, and Richards is to follow him as host for a short time.
The dates of the appearances of the famous hosts, together with the charitable names, have not yet been confirmed. Of the new star range, only CNN’s Cooper has previously appeared in the show as a competitor in its Power Players tournaments.
A permanent host has not yet been announced.
