Damon Harrison says it’s time to move on from the Seattle Seahawks

SEATTLE – Damon “Snacks,” veteran defensive forward Harrison, wrote Sunday that it’s “time to move on” with the Seattle Seahawks.

The NFL Network reported that Harrison asked for his release after learning he would be inactive for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. The Seahawks intend to grant Harrison release, the report said.

A Twitter user responded to the NFL Network’s tweet and wrote “don’t leave,” labeling Harrison. He replied with his reasoning that he wanted to go out.

“I didn’t want to, but the time has come,” Harrison wrote on Twitter. “I came here to help you and I did that and now it’s time to move on. I’m back to play this year and that’s all I want. The team is back healthy and playing very well. [It’s] my time to leave. However, all the love and respect for the falcons! “

The Seahawks signed 32-year-old Harrison to their coaching staff on Oct. 7 after he decided to play in 2020. He didn’t make his Seattle debut until Nov. 15 against the Rams. The 6-foot-5, 350-pound player had to return in football form and then had to wait for an opening in the rotation of the Seattle defensive attack, which he got when Bryan Mone injured his ankle.

Harrison, the first-team All-Pro team in 2016, was credited with nine approaches and a forced beating in six games with Seattle. He played an average of 23 defensive photos per game on the Pro Football Reference, while playing behind starters Jarran Reed and Poona Ford.

The Seahawks activated Mone off the injured reserve on Saturday. Harrison wished Mone and a few other teammates good luck against the Rams on Twitter. The Seahawks would be NFC West champions for the first time since 2016, with a victory.

Harrison’s contract includes a base salary of $ 1.05 million, according to the ESPN list management system. This proportional amount in six games is approximately $ 370,588.
