The U.S. vaccination rate had more than 3 million photos a day for two weeks in a row, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released Tuesday.

This figure is based on an average of seven days of daily reported vaccinations and has fallen slightly in recent days, from a peak of 3.4 million photos reported per day on April 13 to just over 3 million on Tuesday.

About 40% of Americans have received at least one stroke, CDC data show, and about 1 in 4 are completely vaccinated.

American vaccines were given

About 1.8 million vaccines were reported in the United States on Tuesday, mainly reflecting weekend vaccinations due to a gap in data reporting. Vaccination numbers reported on Monday and Tuesday are usually the lowest of the week.

The seven-day average of daily photos, which is used to mitigate reporting fluctuations for the day of the week, is 3 million.

The slight decrease in daily rhythm may be due in part to the ongoing investigation into the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration earlier this month advised states to suspend the use of J&J’s shot “out of an abundance of precaution” after six women developed a rare blood clotting disorder.

Although the J&J vaccine accounts for less than 4% of the total 213 million vaccines administered in the United States to date, it was used for an average of nearly 425,000 photos reported daily at peak levels in mid-April.

Government officials said the country had enough Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to maintain a rate of 3 million photos a day.

US share of the vaccinated population

More than 133 million people, or 40.1% of the US population, have received one or more doses of Covid-19 vaccine. About one in four Americans is completely vaccinated.

Of those aged 65 and over, over 80% are at least partially vaccinated and 65% are completely inoculated.

Progress varies by country. In one state, New Hampshire, more than half of the residents received at least one jab, and Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts are on track to reach the 50% mark in the next few days.

Over 40% of residents are at least partially vaccinated in 24 states and Washington, DC

In Mississippi and Alabama, only 30% of residents were shot, and this figure is 31% in Louisiana and 32% in Tennessee.

US Covid cases

The US reports an average of 63,800 new infections daily, based on a weekly average of data from Johns Hopkins University. This level has been on a downward trend in recent days, but is above the most recent low of 53,600 average daily cases recorded at the end of March.

Covid deaths in the USA

About 700 daily deaths from Covid are reported in the United States, based on a seven-day average of Hopkins data, down from peak levels of about 3,400 per day in mid-January.

The total number of deaths nationwide since the beginning of the pandemic is more than 568,400.
