The seven-day daily average of daily COVID-19 cases continues to decline.

The Utah Department of Health reported on Sunday that the trend of positive tests is 1,464 per day. This number is slightly lower than just a week ago, when the seven-day average of positive cases was 1,794. In the previous week, there were 2,548.

Another positive trend is the number of coronavirus cases that the UDOH considers “unrecovered” in the last two weeks. At the beginning of the year, the number of unrecovered cases was about 50,000. But in the last two days, it has been less than 40,000.

This trend, along with the continuous seven-day average of daily cases, indicates that Utah sees fewer people with COVID-19.

In Salt Lake County, the seven-day average of daily cases was 491.14. It is for the first time since October 14 when the rolling average fell below 500 in the county.
