Now that Cyberpunk 2077 has been in the hands of players for weeks, progress has been made in two talented but different groups of cheaters. This week, modders have prepared a way to change your hairstyle, because V is not able to leave after creating the character. Let’s see what speedrunners do then. Oh, they’re racing to have sex as soon as possible. Of course I am.
This special speedrun for sex in Cyberpunk 2077 comes to you through “Tomatoanus”, a speedrunner who also performed sexual sprints in Fallout 4 and Fallout New Vegas. For Cyberpunk 2077, it came to an impressive 10 minutes and 27 seconds.
Most of the running is not too steamy, of course. As Tomato explains, there are a few scenes that can’t be missed at the beginning of the game, which take up about half of the running time. However, after that, he is able to use an error called “sliding his fist”. I’m tempted to say that’s exactly what you think it is, but given the context, it may not be.
Here, assist him in scaling a building using his fists as small propellers as he could.
Switching quite quickly between a weapon and his fists, he enters a state in which the punch propels him forward. Why not?
This is not the only hacky technology displayed here. It is also able to use what is called “fall damage cancellation” and yes, this is what you think it is. After slipping off an edge, V avoids falling damage by first landing on a street sign and then slipping to the ground. With these powers combined, Tomato is able to get out of the prologue area where he is meant to be locked up. After that, he is able to slide his fist towards a love bar faster than his legs could naturally lead him, proposing one of the sex workers “JoyToy” at 10:27.
Tomatoanus explains that the tricks displayed here are the ones that helped Cyberpunk speedrunners take this special route from a two-hour completion last week to its 10 minutes and change this week. Silly stuff, sure, but Tomato’s Speedrun videos are pretty neat. He explains how and why each trick is fast, but clear, so I always come to learn something about the game.
