  • Sony has released Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store.
  • The company added that everyone who bought the game will receive a refund.

Cyberpunk 2077 is without a doubt the most popular video game of the year, but the release was full of bugs in all versions. Unfortunately, the latest versions of the game also see a massive drop in performance.

Now, Sony has done what could be an unprecedented step, removing the title from the PlayStation Store “until further notice.” In addition, consumers who purchased the game will also receive a refund.

“SHE [Sony Interactive Entertainment – ed] strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will start offering a full refund for all players who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 through PlayStation Store, ”the company explained on its website.

“Once we have confirmed that you have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 through the PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund,” Sony explained, adding that the completion of the refund may vary depending on your payment method and financial institution.

Sony’s refund policy states that refunds cannot be issued for content already downloaded or streamed, “unless the content is defective.” In other words, it certainly sounds like the Japanese company considers Cyberpunk 2077 to be faulty on its consoles. However, it makes us wonder why Sony approved the game for its consoles, first then.

Do you think that the performance of the game and the work on the console justify a refund? Give us your thoughts below.
