Gladys González, a dancer and choreographer remembered for her forays into Cuban television shows three decades ago, especially the popular “Para Bailar,” died in Mexico of a sudden heart attack on Jan. 13, her son, actor Julio Camejo, reported , on its social networks.
González was a couple for many years with Antonio Sánchez, now deceased, and they both made the duo Gladys and Antonio one of the most famous dance couples on the island.
Through “Para Bailar” and other spaces, both taught dance classes and developed a didactic activity that was extended to the “Learning to Dance” program, in which they disseminated Cuban and foreign dance traditions.
