Crook makes history by giving 3 H4s in Licey’s triumph over AC

Reservist Narciso Crook had a historic performance last night, hitting three homers and leading in eight rounds in the game in which Licey Tigres defeated Águilas Cibaeñas 8-3 at Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium.

The second-year player hit his first homer in the second half, with two on board, to the detriment of Miguel Ángel Rondón.

The second homer was shot in the relief of Luis Castillo with one in circulation.

Dissatisfied with this, the native of Nagua hit the third round at home of the game, producing three touchdowns, in the eighth, to the detriment of the close Wendolyn Bautista.

According to sports historian Tony Grullón, this is the ninth time a player has scored three four-corner kicks in the Dominican fall-winter tournament, but only his second at Quisqueya Stadium.

The first to reach this stage was the strengthening of Greg Brock, from Licey and against the Eagles.

This happened on November 13, 1981.
