COVID Vaccine Updates: New York Warns Residents of Charges for Coronavirus Dose Charges

NEW YORK (WABC) – New York Attorney General Letitia James has issued an alert to consumers about illegal COVID-19 vaccination fees.

James reminds New Yorkers that all coronavirus vaccines are free.

She urges anyone charged with a shooting to contact her office immediately.

The attorney general says his office is focused on protecting residents from both the virus and the fraud associated with it.

Prosecutors in Italy: WHO executive lied about top virus report

Italian prosecutors say a senior World Health Organization official lied to them about a WHO report on the coronavirus response in Italy, revealing private communications on Friday that could embarrass the UN health agency. Prosecutors in Bergamo have been investigating Dr. Ranieri Guerra, then assistant to the director-general of the WHO, for making false statements against them when he voluntarily agreed to be heard in November. Guerra was the WHO’s liaison with the Italian government after Italy became the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe last year.

The Navajo Nation issues the residence order after the reported cases
The Navajo Nation has issued a house arrest order for the weekend after reporting another 26 cases confirmed by COVID-19. The latest figures put the total number of cases in the tribe’s reserve, which includes parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah, at 30,239.

Indian states warn of lack of COVID-19 vaccine
Several Indian states are warning the federal government about the lack of COVID-19 vaccine as another increase in cases threatens to overwhelm the country and its already poor medical infrastructure. Authorities in New Delhi and Punjab and Rajasthan said on Saturday they would not be able to continue vaccinations in the coming days unless stocks were replenished. Earlier this week, the western state of Maharashtra, the epicenter of the outbreak in the country, closed some vaccination centers and removed people due to inadequate vaccine supply.
