COVID Vaccine Update: NY and NJ Vaccination Locations Closed Due to Snow

NEW YORK (WABC) – COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites in New York and New Jersey suspended operations on Sunday due to the winter storm.

Mega-sites for vaccines in New Jersey

The following mega-sites are closed due to snow:
Burlington County: appointments will be moved to 2/8, 2/9 and 2/10
Middlesex County: Appointments will be moved to 13.02
Morris County: appointments will be moved to 2/10

The following mega-sites will remain OPEN
Atlantic County: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Bergen County: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Gloucester County: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Individual health care providers will contact you by phone / email / text to reschedule any appointments for tomorrow at our closed mega-sites.

COVID-19 test sites in New York
Operations at the following COVID-19 test locations will be suspended on February 7 due to the impending winter storm:
Glen Island in New Rochelle;
Queens Aqueduct Racecourse;
Bronx Bay Plaza in the Bronx;
Bronman Lehman College;
Jones Beach on Long Island;
Stony Brook on Long Island;

Seaview Avenue on Staten Island; and
Brooklyn Fountain Avenue.

New Yorkers with scheduled appointments on Sunday, February 7 will receive a notice of closure by text message and phone. Appointments will be rescheduled later in the week.

Community-based “Pop Up” vaccination sites
Seven “pop-up” vaccination sites in the community will also be postponed due to the storm and rescheduled for later in the week. These eight sites include:
Abyssinian Baptist Church, 132 W 138th New York, NY 10030
BronxWorks, 1130 Grand Concourse, BX, 10456
Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1376 Prospect Ave, Bronx, NY 10459
Case Castle Hill, 625 Castle Hill Ave, Bronx, NY 10473
Marble Hill Houses, 5365 Broadway, Bronx, NY 10463
First Corona Baptist Church, 100-10 Astoria Blvd., East Elmhurst, NY 11369
United Revival Mennonite Church, 390 Melrose St, Brooklyn, NY 11237

Appointments at these community-based pop-up vaccination sites are scheduled directly with the host site or with partner providers SOMOS Community Care and Northwell Health. These entities notify New Yorkers of the appointments for Sunday, February 7, about these postponements and the new operating data by text message and telephone.

In addition, the site of the Christian Cultural Center cancels operations on Sunday because they managed to extend the program and meet all appointments on Saturday.

Mass vaccination sites in New York
As previously announced by Governor Cuomo, the mass vaccination sites at Jones Beach and Stony Brook on Long Island will also suspend operations on Sunday, February 7 due to winter weather. New Yorkers with appointments on these sites will receive an email or text message rescheduling their vaccination by the end of this week. As part of the rescheduling process and as far as possible, the schedule of new meetings will be scheduled according to the initial scheduling time. If the new scheduling time does not work for a person, given the change of day, they will receive a contact number to identify a different time that may work better for the individual.

Operations at Westchester County Center, Yankee Stadium, Javits Center and Racetrack Aqueduct will be mass vaccinated as scheduled, as these locations are located indoors and have the infrastructure and equipment to ensure that New Yorkers with appointments can enter. and get out of the location safely. Operations at the remaining state-run mass vaccination sites throughout Upstate New York also remain unimpressed.

The Rockland County Clinic has been rescheduled

The Department of Health of Rockland County announces that the COVID-19 vaccination clinic scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, February 7, 2021, from 9:00 to 13:00, has been rescheduled for Monday, February 8, 2021, from 13:00 to 19 : 00 because of the weather.

If you have an appointment for Sunday to be vaccinated at the Rockland County Department of Health clinic, you will receive a 19-month COVID vaccine between 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. No new meetings will be scheduled and you can come as you please from 13:00 to 19:00 on Monday. Please be patient on arrival on Monday, as some hours may be busier than others due to these circumstances.
