COVID vaccine in Illinois: CVS pharmacy expands to IL with new appointments available Saturday

CHICAGO (WLS) – CVS Pharmacy has announced an expansion of its COVID vaccine program in Illinois, with new appointments set to open Saturday.

Appointments can be made at CVS.com or the CVS Pharmacy app or by calling customer service at (800) 746-7287.

TYPES: Fully vaccinated people can gather without masks, says the CDC

The company now administers vaccines in nearly 1,200 stores in 29 states and Puerto Rico.

“We are increasing the number of active stores and expanding to other states as quickly as the supply allows, with the capacity to manage 20 to 25 million photos per month,” said Karen S. Lynch, president and CEO, CVS Health. “We also focus on priority populations, including vulnerable communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic, as well as teachers and school support staff.”
