COVID NY Update: State Investigates Community Health Network Parking in Relation to Possible Vaccine Fraud

NEW YORK (WABC) – A New York medical provider is being investigated for fraudulently obtaining and distributing a COVID-19 vaccine, Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker said in a statement on Saturday.

Zucker said the Department of Health has been briefed on reports from the Orange County Community Health Network Park.

Reports claim that the network somehow fraudulently obtained doses of COVID-19 vaccine and transferred them to other facilities across the state, in violation of state guidelines.

The vaccines were also given to members of the public and not to front-line healthcare workers or residents and nursing home staff, as required by the State.

“We take this very seriously and the DOH will assist the state police in a criminal investigation into this matter. Anyone who has knowingly participated in this plan will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” he said. said Zucker.

ABC contacted the ParCare Community Health Network for comments; their website describes their work as “a multi-specialty center offering services such as primary care, internal medicine, dermatology, physical therapy and pediatrics; helping our patients maintain optimal health and prevent potential diseases ”.

In October, the New York Test and Tracking Corps announced an expanded partnership with ParCare to provide free COVID-19 testing and resources for the Orthodox Jewish community.
