Details of the next vaccination phase were discussed at a summit at which the Center advised states on several processes, including Co-Win 2.0 features, beneficiary registration options, identity verification and facilities needed in public hospitals, and private.
Vaccination will be free at government immunization centers. Those who get the vaccine at any designated or paneled private health facility will have to “pay a pre-determined fee,” the health ministry said.
India will start vaccinating people over the age of 60 and those over the age of 45 with comorbidities from March 1. They are part of an estimated 27 million people covered in this phase and include people aged 50, who will be shot shortly after seniors.
Recipients will be able to self-register in advance by downloading the Co-Win 2.0 application and other IT applications, such as Aarogya Setu, which will list government and private hospitals that serve as Covid-19 vaccination centers with the date and time of availability. schedule.
