COVID-19 vaccine registration is suspended for a month in Genesee County

FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – Online registration to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Genesee County will not begin for another month.

Genesee County Health Department says online registration for COVID-19 vaccine schedules will not open until February 7 at the earliest. The county is still waiting for additional vaccines so it can start phase 1B, which includes anyone aged 65 or older and critical occupations, such as first and teachers.

Appointments will be available on the Department of Health’s appointment website once Genesee County receives multiple doses of vaccine.

State health officials recommend that people interested in obtaining the vaccine monitor the Michigan COVID-19 vaccine website instead of contacting the local health department for updates on when it will be available.
