COVID-19 vaccine planner in the Kansas City area for March 14-20

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – As COVID-19 is being rolled out in the Kansas City area, 41 Action News is compiling a list of vaccination events and where people can sign up for a vaccine interest form each week. Return to updates.

Vaccine slots fill up quickly and are often scheduled before each week.

The launch of COVID-19 continues in Kansas, Missouri

Starting Sunday, March 14, Missouri will vaccinate people in Phase 1B, Level 2. However, on Monday, March 15, the state will move to Phase 1B of Level 3.

In Kansas, the state is vaccinating people in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of its vaccine launch plan.

COVID-19 vaccine navigator from Missouri
As Missouri prepares to move into Phase 1B, its vaccine level 3 is launched, state officials encourage anyone interested in being vaccinated to register on the website of the state vaccine navigator.

After completing the form, residents will be contacted when it is their turn to receive a vaccine and schedule an appointment.

In Kansas, Find my vaccine the instrument allows people who are eligible in phase 2 to find locations near them that administer the vaccine.

Walmart
Walmart facilitates vaccines in Kansas and Missouri. People need to sign up for an appointment in advance. More information about Walmart vaccines can be found in the store vaccine site. Appointments can be completed quickly. Those interested in signing up should check the Walmart website frequently.

Hy-Vee facilitates vaccines in locations in Kansas and Missouri. Those interested in receiving a vaccine can sign up for an appointment on the Hy-Vee COVID-19 vaccine website.

A Hy-Vee employee will contact those who are eligible when it is their turn to receive a vaccine.

On the Hy-Vee website, people can search for locations in the Kansas City area by zip code. The information will be updated periodically as new meetings become available.

CVS Pharmacy
In Missouri, CVS Pharmacy administers vaccines, including in the Kansas City area. As with other places, meetings are required.

To sign up for a meeting, fill out a survey of interest on the CVS vaccine website.

Safe operation, Clay County
Operation Safe is a partnership between the Clay County Public Health Center, Liberty and North Kansas City and Cerner Hospitals.

This week, Operation Safe will host clinics from Wednesday, March 17, to Friday, March 19.

Wednesday’s clinic will be for the second dose of Modern vaccine.

Clinics on Thursday and Friday will be for the first dose of Pfizer vaccine.

These are just appointments, and accessories will not be accepted.

Clinics will be facilitated at Cerner World Headquarters, 2951 Rock Creek Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64117.

Black League Baseball Museum
Hy-Vee is partnering with the Black League Baseball Museum to provide vaccines to undeserved residents near the 18th & Vine District of Kansas City, Missouri.

From Monday, March 15 and continuing every month until further notice, vaccination events will take place from 9:00 – 12:30 and 12:30 to 16:00

Clinics are by appointment only and are only available to people living near the 18 & Vine Jazz district.

The vaccines will be administered at the museum, located at 1616 East 18th Street, Kansas City, MO 64108.

Arrowhead Stadium
There will be a “mega vaccination event” on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, who announced the event last week, said people should not contact the Jackson County Health Department to register because Jackson County residents who are eligible for Phase 1B, Level 3 were preselected.

Instead, interested residents should complete the county’s vaccine interest form so they are notified when it is their turn to receive a meeting.

Two Missouri National Guard teams will be deployed to facilitate the event, which will take place between 9:00 and 19:00 on both days.

Grandview
The city of Grandview will host a Pfizer vaccine clinic on Tuesday, March 16.

The clinic will be held at The View Community Center located at 13500 Byars Road, Grandview, MO 64030.

Appointments are available to people over the age of 65 or to eligible people in phase 1B, level 3.

Anyone interested should complete a registration form.

Wyandotte County
Wyandotte County residents who are 65 years of age or older can receive a vaccine at mass clinics that the Unified Government will provide.

These are access opportunities and will take place from 10 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday at the following locations:

Johnson County Department of Health and Environment
Johnson County Department of Health and Environment currently vaccinates those who qualify in phase 1 and Phase 2 of the state vaccine.

Anyone interested in being vaccinated must fill out the form of interest for the vaccine in the county. JCDHE will then reach people when it’s their turn to make an appointment.

Johnson County Hospitals
Several Johnson County hospitals administer vaccines to people in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Kansas vaccine.
