The city was originally scheduled to move in phase 2 on April 19.
Farley said the change comes after several sites reported vacancies. It impacts all vaccine providers in the city, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, community organizations and FEMA clinics.

Farley pointed out that Philadelphians over the age of 65 are encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Currently, appointments are open, and rides are available at both FEMA sites in Philadelphia.
The Center City Vaccination Center is open from 8:00 to 16:00, and the Esperanza Community Vaccination Center is open from 9:00 to 17:00 all weekend.
In response to the FDA and CDC “discontinuing” Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, FEMA sites will administer the Pfizer vaccine.
The city reported 631 additional cases confirmed by COVID-19 on Friday. The Department of Public Health also confirmed 16 additional deaths.
