COVID-19 State Vaccine Stages of “Arm Shots”, Completion of Vaccine Series Likely to Be Completed Earlier This Week

MADISON, Wisconsin (WBAY) – Wisconsin continues to approach the two million “arm wrestling” and 700,000 people completing the state’s vaccine series.

According to the Department of Health Services (DHS), the state has administered another 32,182 outbreaks since Saturday’s report, bringing the total number of vaccines administered to 1,994,341. This number is for both Wisconsin residents and non-residents.

The state currently has an average of 39,670 doses a day, which means that Wisconsin could reach a total of two million “arms blows” on Monday.

Meanwhile, DHS says another 11,275 people completed the series of vaccines as of Saturday, bringing the national total to 698,915, or 12.1% of the state’s population authorized to receive the vaccine. The state’s seven-day average for the number of people completing the series of vaccines per day is 15,886, which means the state could meet the 700,000 target as early as Monday.

A total of 1,251,433 doses of the vaccine were given to Wisconsin residents alone, which is equal to 21.5% of the population. This figure has increased by 20,341 in the last 24 hours. The seven-day average dose administered exclusively to Wisconsin residents is 25,034.

The population of Wisconsin is 5.822 million people.

According to DHS, a total of 267,474 doses of the vaccine were given to Wisconsin residents in the week of March 7, however, health officials say the number may fluctuate.

The number of vaccinations is expected to increase rapidly throughout the spring, as two million people with medical conditions will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from March 29. In the Fox Valley, Wisconsin region, state health officials reported that 24,232 doses of the vaccine were given this week. A total of 175,046 doses of vaccine were administered there.

CDC ASSEMBLY REGULATIONS

The Centers for Disease Control announced that fully vaccinated Americans can gather with other vaccinated people inside without wearing a mask or social distance.

The CDC’s recommendations also say that vaccinated people can be reunited in the same way – in a single household – with people considered to be at low risk of severe illness, such as vaccinated grandparents who visit healthy children and grandchildren.

The CDC continues to recommend that fully vaccinated people still wear well-fitted masks, avoid large meetings, and physically distance themselves from others when in public. The CDC also recommended that vaccinated individuals be tested for symptoms that may be related to COVID-19.
