COVID-19: Spain will keep track of those who refuse the vaccine, the EU’s common plan

Spain is creating a register of people who refuse to be vaccinated with COVID-19 and will share it with other EU member states, Health Minister Salvador Illa told La Sexta on Monday.

The whole picture: Spain became the fourth European nation on Monday to exceed 50,000 coronavirus deaths, after the United Kingdom, Italy and France, after Johns Hopkins. Almost 1.9 million cases have been confirmed. Illa said vaccinations are free and not mandatory. Data on those who refuse inoculation will not be disclosed publicly “and will be done with the utmost respect for data protection,” he added.

Flashback: Spain becomes the first nation in Western Europe to exceed 1 million COVID-19 cases
