COVID-19 in Puerto Rico: Seven deaths and 2,388 additional cases were reported

The Department of Health report reported seven deaths from COVID-19 on Tuesday, while 714 confirmed cases, 409 probable cases and 1,265 additional suspected cases were recorded, for a total of 2,388 new positive cases in coronavirus tests, in samples taken in March. April 28 – 11, 2021.

There are 406 people hospitalized, 19 more than in Monday’s report.

Among those hospitalized there are 385 adult patients, 21 more than the previous day and 21 pediatric cases, two less than on Monday.

In the intensive care unit, there are 81 adult patients, nine more than the day before and two pediatric cases, one more than the day before. While there are 55 adult patients on the ventilator, 12 more than on Monday’s report. There is also a pediatric patient on a ventilator.

In total, there are 2,162 deaths reported by Covid-19, seven more than in Monday’s report.

The reporting of deaths may vary as the processes of recording and coding the causes of death are carried out, which could take several days.
