Country star Tyler Rich was shocked to discover the body of a man who died while running four miles in a Massachusetts state park on New Year’s Eve.
And now the 34-year-old singer says he believes he was led to the tragic discovery by the spirit of the dead.
In a long post posted on Instagram on Saturday, he revealed that a conversation with the dead man’s mother led him to believe that their tragic meeting was fate.

“Still reflecting on this constant feeling that I was in that random part of the park at the exact time I was supposed to be, to find that young man,” he began. “There are a lot of coincidences that make me really believe he led me where he was.”
The musician revealed that he found the body around New Year’s Eve lunch.
“About 30 minutes later, I looked down at my watch. My running app stopped once I stopped and found it and told me that my average pace at that time was 11:11, ”he continued. “I told the police and the couple who gave me the phone to look at their watch and that maybe it was a good omen.”
Subsequently, Rich felt compelled to share the information with the deceased’s mother.
“Yesterday, I talked to his sweet mother, which was one of the hardest things I can remember. We talked about the chronology and series of events. She said the last text she sent was at 11:11 [sic]. And I found him only 45 minutes later, “he explained.
Significant? Rich wrote that he found the man’s body at noon on New Year’s Eve and that his running app stopped at 11:11 a.m., which was “auspicious.”
Message from beyond: Rich spoke to the man’s mother and found out that his last text was sent to him at 11:11. He said he thought “his spirit led me to that random part of the mountain.”
As far as he was concerned, the discovery of the body was fate and not just a horrible tragedy.
“I truly believe that his spirit led me to that random part of the mountain to find him,” he wrote.
Rich described 11:11 as indicating that “angels are with you” and that it is time to “desire whatever you want. Feel at ease. That the universe is on your side.
The number was also significant to him, thanks to his song 11:11, which is “about loss.”
“So every time I see these numbers, it seems reasonable to me,” he continued.

Singer Difference suggested that the family of the deceased was comforted by his theories.
“This specific series of small events somehow brings comfort to this family and me,” he concluded.
The singer also thanked his fans for the “incredible outpouring of support and prayer” from the post’s caption.
“Community is so important, don’t forget to tell people how much you love them and remember to talk to someone, to anyone, when you feel lost and alone, because you are not,” he wrote.

Rich opened the “24 Hours” earlier Friday after unexpectedly discovering the body.
He applauded the first respondents and members of the armed forces for being able to “look death in the eye every day” and “continue to live their daily lives” in the Instagram post.
Still shaken, he explained that he is “quite far from where anyone else would run” in a heavily forested area, before saying that he thought he saw a “homeless young man” sleeping.
“She was on her stomach, had a bag tied around her leg and was face down. (Assuming that was the case, so people didn’t steal his belongings while he slept), he explained, ”the singer said.

Frightening: still shaken, he explained that he was “quite far from where anyone else would run” in a wooded area, before saying he thought he saw a “homeless young man” sleeping.
Rich continued: “After I ran around him, I felt bad for him, he was sleeping face down and he just seemed to be in a bad place. So I turned around and went back to check it out.
Then, the singer said that he realized that the man “did not breathe” and looked as if he had been shot or the victim of a forced trauma.
“When I get in front of him, all I see is a lifeless face covered in blood. Everywhere, ‘he remembered. “Right now, I’m scared and I’m going up the steep hill to try to find anyone with a reason to call the police (I only had the apple watch then).
He then finds a couple about 30 meters away and used his phone to contact the authorities and ends up spending hours making statements with state soldiers, the FBI, local police and detectives.
“This young man looked maybe 18-25. I couldn’t figure out the cause of all the blood, but his skin was still white. It didn’t seem like long before I got there, “he said.

He continued: “After a while, the officers found a weapon in one of his hands under his body. Which means it could have been a suicide … Not that there’s anything that can help me cope with finding him like that. But surely knowing that he wasn’t there, thrown away by someone else, and that he was where he wanted to be, will leave me at least a little calmer.
Rich went on to describe how the ordeal weighed heavily on him.
“I do everything I can to process this, the image, the reality. About 24 hours have passed, ‘he admitted. “Something I will never see or forget for a few minutes when he and I were alone in the water, while I realized what the hell was going on and what I was going to do. The silent middle of a state park. Just running water and him and me. He looked like a young, normal child. Someone with a family is probably wondering where he is.

At this time, the Chicopee Police Department and the Massachusetts Police Detective Unit are still investigating the man’s death and his identity remains unknown.
James Leydon, a spokesman for Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni, said “there is no threat to public safety related to this incident, which does not appear to be criminal,” according to MassLive.
Rich, who was in Massachusetts with his wife Sabina Gadecki for the holidays, ended his caption by writing, “Whoever you are and have been, friend RIP.”
