The third expected season of Cobra Kai was scheduled to be released on Netflix on January 8, just over a week before 2021, but now we won’t even have to wait that long. On Thursday morning, as an early Christmas present, Netflix announced that the new episodes of Cobra Kai it will actually be released a full week earlier than originally planned.
That’s right, everyone gets to ring in the new year with Karate Kid. Season 3 of Cobra Kai will now debut on Netflix on January 1, 2021. All 10 episodes of the new season will disappear at once, which will make it a great New Year’s party.
Netflix made the announcement with a video about William Lawrence of William Zabka trying to explore the internet so he could launch the third season of Cobra Kai fans as early as possible. Season 3 production was completed before YouTube sold the series to Netflix, but the new streaming house for Cobra Kai wanted to release the first two seasons first, to build hype for the third installment. After the launch of the initial seasons in August, it was revealed that season 3 will start in January.
The third season of Cobra Kai we will see Daniel LaRusso return to Okinawa, Mr. Miyagi’s home, and reunite with old friends and enemies. Both Kumiko and Chozen, characters from The Karate Kid Part II, will make their return.
