Cleveland Cavaliers Larry Nance Jr. to lose 4-6 weeks with fractured finger

Cleveland Cavaliers striker Larry Nance Jr. has a fractured finger on his left hand that will likely require surgery and will be missing in four to six weeks, sources told ESPN.

Nance, who suffered an injury in the Knights’ 124-99 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, contributed significantly to the team’s solid start (10-14) in the season, excelling on the defensive side.

He is second in the NBA in steals with 1.9 per game. Nance have averaged 9.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in 33.4 minutes per game this season.

He recently lost time with a sprained wrist.

Nance’s loss further diminishes the Knights’ front field, where former All-Star Kevin Love is still recovering from a leg injury. Love is not expected to return before the end of a future five-conference conference. The Knights lost three consecutive and next games in Phoenix on Monday.
