Chvrches returned with a new single, “He Said She Said.” It is the first new piece of music from Chvrches since they released “Death Stranding”, their contribution to the game of the same name Hideo Kojima, in 2019. Listen to it below.
“He Said She Said” was recorded almost entirely remotely on both sides of the Atlantic, with band members working on Zoom and audio sharing software to collaborate. It’s three years since the Scottish electronic trio’s latest album was released Love is dead.
“He said he said ‘is my way of calculating the things I accepted and I know I shouldn’t have,'” Lauren Mayberry said in a statement. “All the lines of the verses are tongue-in-cheek or paraphrased verses of the things that have actually been said to me by men in my life. Being a woman is damn tiring and it felt better to shout it in a pop song than to shout it blank. After last year, I think we can all relate to the feeling that we are losing our minds. ”
