Chrissy Teigen is open about her decision to be sober

Chrissy Teigen opens up about her sobriety.

Going on Instagram on Wednesday, the 35-year-old model revealed how Holly Whitaker’s book, “Give Up a Woman: The Radical Choice of Not Drinking in an Alcohol-Obsessed Culture,” contributed to her decision to be sober.

“A month ago, on my birthday, I received this book from my doctor and friend,” Teigen began on Instagram Story.

“I ended up making an ass in front of people (I’m still embarrassed), tired of drinking during the day and feeling like at 6 to 6, I can’t sleep anymore,” she continued. “I’ve been sober ever since and even if you can’t see yourself doing that or you just don’t want to, it’s still an incredible read.”

Earlier this week, Teigen confirmed she had been sober for a month. Following the revelation, the author of the cookbook received a series of messages of support from fans.

“I just became sober !! Beautiful!!! I like that !! “one commented on social media.

“Keep up the good work! Every day “, answered another.

Teigen, the wife of 42-year-old singer John Legend, has struggled in recent months, revealing in October that she suffered a miscarriage.

The couple, who share 4-year-old daughter Luna and 2-year-old son Miles, honored their late son, Jack, with a tattoo tribute.

It’s not the first time Teigen has talked about her drink. In 2017, Teigen told Cosmopolitan that he “drank too much.

“I used to be in my hair and make-up and have a glass of wine. Then that glass of wine would be taken from me, with one before the show. And then a bunch at the awards show. And then I felt bad because I made a kind of ass for people that I really respected, “Teigen said at the time.
