Chris Russo takes Michael Rapaport to Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant eliminated Wednesday’s loss to the 76ers, a defeat that could cost the Nets their home ground, and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo had a big problem with that decision.

The former host of WFAN talk shows, who now works for SiriusXM, tore the Nets and their star forward because he missed the showdown, although Durant had just returned from a hamstring injury that cost him almost two months.

“It simply came to our notice then [former Knicks coach] Pat Riley, “Hey Pat, no [Patrick] Ewing tonight. I know you play Bulls and [Michael] Jordan, but Ewing will pass because his knees are injured, “said Russo hyperbolically. “There were many nights in a locker room when Ewing had to scare his knee, talk to the media. … Every game, he was sitting there with ice on his knees and playing night after night after night after night! He played his ass! Night after night! … And I’m telling you something right now, Ewing wanted to play! ”

He continued to bring in other players from past eras who would not miss a game, such as Jordan or Paul Silas or John Havlicek.

“Twice the player that any of these guys have. It makes me sick, “Russo said. “How about Durant’s madness, which says, ‘I’m playing! Get the hell out of here! ‘”

Russo also threw a dig into Durant for his Instagram dispute with actor Michael Rapaport.

“Instead of fighting Michael Rapaport, how about Durant say weird [Steve] Nash and his weird owner, who pays him $ 40 million, and his GM [Sean] Marks, who’s scared [Gregg] Popovich School, how about Durant just say “give me the weird uniform, I’m playing tonight,” he said.
