Facebook product director Chris Cox has received about $ 69 million to join the social media company in 2020.

Cox joined Facebook in June 2020, after a break of more than a year from the company. Cox is a key moral leader at Facebook and one of its top strategic executives, coordinating how the company’s various services work.

According to the company’s 2021 proxy statement, Cox earned more than $ 421,000 in salary, more than $ 691,000 in bonus and awarded shares with a fair value of nearly $ 68 million, which will be earned in the next four years.

Cox’s salary and bonus have dropped since his 2018 earnings, his last full year with the company. However, stock compensation increased dramatically, with Facebook noting that massive compensation was awarded in connection with Cox’s re-entry into the company.

The company also notes that Cox will win an additional $ 4 million cash prize this year, which will be paid within 30 days of the one-year anniversary of his return to Facebook.

In addition, the prosecutor claims that Facebook paid Cox $ 90,000 while he was away from the company because he served as a strategic advisor.
