Chizuru Kagura was announced for King of Fighters 15 during a roundtable discussion by the Japanese fighting game developer.
She will join her classic teammates Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami to form the team’s sacred treasures in the new title.

After falling ill with their fans last week, SNK confirmed that Team Sacred Treasures will indeed appear as an official team in King of Fighters 15, with the long-awaited return of Chizuru Kagura, teaming with Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami.
The trailer features images of Chizuru making her return to the series after an 18-year absence, her last playable appearance being back in King of Fighters 2003.
Being the first character to join the game and not part of King of Fighters 14, this also makes Chizuru’s debut in 3D, with a superb recreation of his shadow movement in the new graphic style of the series.
The implications of the story of the reunion of the three sacred treasures remain to be seen, as the three have never been an official team in a game before. Traditionally, the three had to cooperate to destroy Orochi, so no doubt there must be a great threat to them to put aside their differences and team up once again.
