Liberal Reform Party (PLR) president and former senator for La Altagracia province, Amable Aristy Castro, reported being given the second dose of the vaccine on Tuesday to prevent COVID-19.
“This morning we got the second dose of the vaccine to prevent COVID-19. I had to wait 15 minutes to see if there was a response, but thank goodness there was no response,” he wrote via the social network Twitter.
Aristy Castro, who has health complications in Miami, United States, said: “I feel in perfect health with a lot of confidence and hope that this resource will help us all get out of these troubled times.”
He also urged his followers to get vaccinated and not be afraid of the vaccine and the former senator also believes that vaccination is the only way to live together normally at the moment.
The political leader was operated on in the heart last November in a trial that lasted about eight hours.
This was the third operation that Amable Aristy Castro underwent in 2020.
