Chevy is really hyped about the future Bolt EUV. Teasers for the upcoming electric crossover came on the left and just before the start of next month. With this recent teaser, we have a better look at the rear end of the crossover, having already seen a headlight, a side profile and part of the interior. Street show reports that Chevy will team up with Disneyworld to unveil the crossover, and is likely hoping to get the attention of family-oriented buyers – exactly the kind of buyer Chevy hopes to turn into electric vehicles.
In the teaser video, we have a clear view of the back of the crossover, clearly showing its Bolt-inspired design.
According to the previous Roadshow rEPORTS, we can expect Bolt EUV to have a lot in common with Buick Velite 7.
This is how Bolt and Buick Velite 7 pile up Street show:
When asked about Velite 7’s relationship with the Chevy Bolt EUV, a Chevy spokesman confirmed to Roadshow that the two models will share the same platform, but did not comment further.
As for the Velite 7 itself, Buick said it will go 310 miles based on the new European driving cycle, but expects a range of less than 300 miles, realistically. NEDC is not only an outdated cycle, but very liberal in its estimates. Slightly higher than the Bolt EV current 259 miles range seems more realistic. In fact, Buick mentioned a “new high-performance modular lithium-ion battery” for a Velite 7 with a higher power density, so it’s likely to go a little further than an Bolt EV.

Currently, Velite is only available on the Chinese market. We’ll find out more when the new Bolt EUV debuts on February 14th in the most magical place on earth.
