Chevron, QuantumScape, Verizon and more

Check with companies that make securities in trading after the program on Tuesday.

Verizon – The shares of the telecommunications giant increased by 2% in trading after the program, after Berkshire Hathaway, from Warren Buffett, revealed a big stake in Verizon. As of December 31, Berkshire Hathaway owned $ 146,716,496 of $ 8.6 billion in Verizon shares by the end of 2020.

SolarEdge – The shares of the solar inverter manufacturer gained more than 4% after the publication of the company’s results in the fourth quarter. SolarEdge earned 98 cents a share, excluding items with revenue of $ 358.1 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected the company to earn 66 cents a share with revenue of $ 355.5 million.

Chevron – The shares of the oil giant increased by 2% in extended trading after Berkshire Hathaway also revealed a stake in the energy company. The conglomerate acquired more than 40 million Chevron shares in the fourth quarter, according to a regulatory filing.

QuantumScape – The battery company’s shares gained 5% after QuantumScape released its first quarterly report since its release in November. The company said it lost $ 2.41 per share. There were too few estimates to have a street consensus for that quarter. In a letter to shareholders, the company considers that it has “sufficient financing … to finance us through the first production”.
