Cheryl Burke apologizes to former DWTS partner Ian Ziering for saying she’d rather “cut my wrists” than dance with him again
They teamed up to compete together more than a decade ago at Dancing With The Stars.
Cheryl Burke also apologized to Ian Ziering for the negative comments she made in 2016 about their partnership at the hit show.
During a conversation about narcissists on the Pretty Messed Up podcast with AJ McLean and Rene Elizondo Jr., the 36-year-old professional dancer tried to fix past mistakes.

“The only thing I regret and want to fix is Ian Ziering,” she said. “I was completely disconnected a few years ago and I did a podcast where they asked me who my favorite partner is and who I hate the most.
“And I said to Ian Ziering and I said, ‘I’d rather cut my wrists than dance with Ian Ziering again.’
Cheryl has partnered with Beverly Hills, star 90210 for the fourth season of the popular ABC dance show in 2007.
Although they scored high throughout the competition, they were eventually voted and ranked fourth.

A few years after they appeared together, Cheryl said, “These are the real colors they didn’t show at Dancing With The Stars… Think about spending time with this for eight to 10 hours a day, seven days a week for three months.
“It made me want to cut my wrists. I was crying to the directors. I said, “Is there any way to eliminate us, please?” They say, “We can’t. We can’t do that. ” And I swear, every time I asked, I kept going. We would last until the end. “
Burke also remarked to AJ and Rene: “I’m so sorry I’m so disrespectful and I’m just talking trying to get a reaction and put it as a punch bag really … I took it to the next level of hate.
“I’m very sorry that I’m so disrespectful and that I only talk trying to get a reaction and put it as a punching bag … I took it to the next level of ugliness,” she said.
– I was so ugly. And I’m here to publicly apologize to Ian and his family … I’ve lost a lot of respect for myself. It haunts me to this day.
Cheryl was the first professional woman to win the show and also the first professional to win twice in a row.
He appeared in 23 seasons of DWTS and won the second season with Drew Lachey, in addition to winning the mirrorball trophy in season three with Emmitt Smith.
