Check out the newcomer Guilty Gear Strive, Nagoriyuki, in today’s Getting Started Guide

Two words: Vampire. Samurai.

Something a little different today Guilty Gear Strive The beginning guide, as Arc System Works finally raises the curtain on one of the new characters of the future fighters. Stoic, scary, as elegant as anyone GG history, welcome to Nightwalker – Nagoriyuki.

I could write “Vampire Samurai” and leave that, but you deserve more. I notice that Nagoriyuki’s huge frame dominates the battlefield, while his sharp Katana gives him ridiculous coverage and an amazing poke ability. Nagoriyuki’s vampire tendencies also come into play through her set of movement, with a “Blood Gauge” that fills as she lands attacks on her opponent. Once completed, Nagoriyuki can activate a Rage mode, which expands his cover and damage, at the cost of several special attacks.

In essence, an effective Nagoriyuki player will become stronger as the fight progresses, but will also enter more risky games. This is reminiscent of the wretched Mira of the Killer Instinct, who also changed her health and strength options as the fight continued. In addition to this mechanic, Nagoriyuki has short changing / teleportation abilities, a command grab and advanced combos. Nagoriyuki already looks like an absolute force to be reckoned with and will definitely make an impact when it debuts in the spring.
