Charlotte Church hosts Mass meetings a few months after a fatal outbreak of coronavirus :: WRAL.com

– While state health officials warn against the big meetings that will ring in 2021, a church in Charlotte is hosting a gathering that is expected to draw hundreds of participants, according to NBC affiliate WCNC.

The United House of Prayer hosts an event in honor of the head bishop of the church. Bishop CM Bailey, leader of the House of Prayer franchise, which is made up of nearly 150 churches, visits Charlotte on Saturday and Sunday.

Churches of the House of Prayer throughout the area are expected to bring members by bus, WCNC reports.

In October, Charlotte Church hosted a week-long convocation event that drew thousands of church members from across the country. The Mecklenburg County Health Department said at least 208 coronavirus infections and nine deaths were traced back to the event.
