Chargers interview Jason Garrett

The Chargers requested an interview with the Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, as Ian Rapoport from NFL.com tweets. The former Cowboys head coach would be one of the few candidates for the interview after the dismissal Anthony Lynn.

Garrett recorded a regular 85-67 season for the Cowboys in nine seasons. Although they soon reached the playoffs, Garrett remains a highly respected offensive mind. He also played defender in the league for almost 15 years, making him a solid choice to develop young Justin Herbert. Of course, last year wasn’t a gang season for the Giants, but there’s a lot of guilt around Northern New Jersey.

Chargers will also seek to interview Bills’ offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL.com (on Twitter). Daboll is also targeted by the Jets, who have looked closely Josh Allentransformation in 2020.

So far, the Chargers have put at least three candidates on their HC list in Garrett, Daboll and the Titans’ offensive coordinator. Arthur Smith. It is worth noting that the competition for Smith will be fierce – all six teams with openings have asked to meet with the 38-year-old.
