Character designer King of Fighters 15 shows Benimaru feeling cute with his hair down

I like it almost as much as its normal appearance

After being silent for more than a year, SNK is doing a good job of continuously releasing less information about King of Fighters 15 even outside the trailers.

Character designer and main illustrator of the game, Tomohiro Nakata, launches small conceptions of the developers about the appearance of the distribution, this week focusing on Benimaru. It’s also a little different from the others I’ve seen so far, considering it features a new portrait of the cute boy with his hair down.

Although I’ve seen him without electric-tipped hair in many shows over the years, it’s less common to get an official piece of art that looks like this.

Nakata notes that the team had a strict policy of not eliminating any characteristics that make Benimaru the one who has him at the base and assures the fans that he is as gentle as ever.

Benimaru is part of a new team this time, along with Shun’ei and Meitenkun to fight the main heroes, where he was created to be their protector and mentor – although some joke that Kyo also made him a babysitter.

Instead of the tight shirts or jackets he wore in previous games, the KOF veteran seems to be wearing more of a Chinese shirt this time.

It is interesting to see how only a hair change can change the tone of a character, given that Benimaru looks much more serious in this work of art than what we saw in the trailer.

Given how big King of Fighters 15 will be, these weekly drops could probably continue for several months, although most fans don’t seem to have a problem with that yet.
