CDC: Facial masks do not prevent COVID-19, study found that masks have a negligible impact on the number of coronavirus

CDC admits facial masks do little to prevent the spread of COVID-19 amid mounting pressure to lift mask warrants in the US In a new study, the CDC found that facial masks had a negligible impact on the number of coronaviruses that did not exceed the statistical margins of error.

The study found that between March and December 2020, facial mask orders reduced infection rates by 1.5% during running periods of two months each. The masks were 0.5% effective in the first 20 days of the mandate and less than 2% effective after 100 days.

The CDC added that it still recommends wearing face masks, although it acknowledged that such mandates make no statistical difference. Meanwhile, some states across the nation have slowly returned to normal, ending disguise warrants.
