CDC again places the Dominican Republic at level 4 of Covid-19

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, also called CDC for its English acronym, warned American travelers that the Dominican Republic has a very high level of Covid-19.

The institution again placed the Caribbean country at level 4 of Covid-19, which is considered a very high level.

This points to a setback after Tourism Secretary David Collado described November last year as a Category 3 “benefit” in the United States, after recommending that US citizens not travel to the country.

In addition, the center recommends that all air passengers arriving in the United States, including US citizens, have a negative COVID-19 test result or COVID-19 recovery documentation before boarding a flight to the North American country.

Before leaving or entering the United States, they suggest having a 1 to 3 day viral test; if you don’t have it, it is recommended not to make the trip.

When returning to the North American nation, he recommends getting tested 3 to 5 days after the trip and limiting yourself to 7 days. If you don’t take the test, it’s safest to stay at home for 10 days.
