CD Projekt apologizes for the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 and shows the roadmap 2021

The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 has been pretty much noticed by everyone. Some are better with bugs and performance, others are left incredibly agitated. Yesterday CD Projekt issued a statement apologizing and showing its plans for the game in 2021.

Marcin Iwinski, co-founder of CD Projekt, explained in a short 5-minute video that the main culprit behind the chaotic launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was having to work from home, which made it very difficult to upgrade the version for previous generation consoles. Basically, they blame COVID-19. That is, about 9 years of development time were used for Cyberpunk 2077.

It is indicated that they never imagined that they are in this mess and that something similar is unlikely to happen. That being said, he assured me that they are doing everything possible to correct their mistake and fix the game.

According to a roadmap, none of the plans have changed, and patches 1.1 and 1.2 remain in mind for the next few weeks, so you can release the first free DLCs soon, and in the last stage of the year, bring the version the next generation for the new consoles. The latter will be made together with new patches that will arrive in the coming months.
