U.S. Capitol Police confirmed on Friday night that a second officer injured in Friday’s car attack in Washington, DC, is in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.
“UPDATE: The other USCP officer hit by the car is in a stable and non-threatening condition,” Capitol Police announced in a tweet from the police’s official Twitter account.

The update comes after police announced that Capitol Police Officer William “Billy” Evans was killed when a man reportedly identified as Noah Green rammed into a car into a barrier at the Capitol.
Green was later shot by police as he got out of the car and reportedly shot a knife at responding agents.
The injured officer has yet to be identified.
The Friday car and knife attack came less than three months after the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill.
Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick died of the injuries he sustained after coming into contact with the pro-Trump crowd, while two other police officers on the scene later died of suicide.
Lawmakers said all day long that they kept Capitol Police agents in their minds.
