Capcom is launching the Great Ace Attorney games again this summer, a pair of legal detective adventures in Victorian London and Meiji-era Japan. The Chronicles of the Great Ace Attorney will include original Nintendo 3DS games (The Great Ace’s Advocate: The Adventure of Ryunosuke Naruhodo and The Great Ace Attorney 2: The Resolve of Ryunosuke Naruhodo) and will be released on July 27 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC via Steam.
The Great Ace Attorney games were previously released only in Japan, and the star Ryunosuke Naruhodo, the ancestor of another Ace Attorney hero, Phoenix Wright.
Shu Takumi, the director of the series Ace Attorney The Chronicles of the Great Ace Attorney in an ad video released Wednesday. The new collection will include 10 episodes and eight “mini-escapades”, dual audio tracks in English and Japanese, alternative costumes and art and music galleries. Players who purchase the collection early, either on pre-order or close to launch day, will receive additional downloadable content “From the Vaults”.
The Chronicles of the Great Ace Attorney will also include a feature for the first time: an automatically advancing story mode. This mode will allow players to enjoy the full story of the games without having to do the detective work and the battles in the courtroom on their own.
Capcom will also launch a collection of its collections, known as Ace Attorney Turnabout Collection, which includes The Chronicles of the Great Ace Attorney and 2019 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy.
