Canoo’s multifunctional electric van seems to be made of Lego

The maximum payload depends on the size of the battery and there will be three options available at the beginning. In MPDV1, the 40 kWh package should give you a range of 130 miles. The 60 kWh battery will provide a range of 190 miles, Canoo estimates, and you should be able to drive up to 230 miles with a single charge of the 80 kWh version. If you were to opt for the larger van, those intervals would be 30 to 40 miles shorter. The van will also have level 2 autonomy as part of its driver assistance systems.

However, what makes MPDV particularly interesting is its design. Cybertruck-style flat panels make it look like Canoo ripped it off at some point in the future (probably in 2077). As Autoblog points out that the compact front could make parking easy.

A promotional video shows a number of neat interior design ideas that suggest that the MPDV could be very useful as a work vehicle. The driver’s door, for example, has sockets and holders for glasses and phones, as well as storage space, while there should be enough space for you to walk, given the interior height of the van just under 6 , 5 feet.

There are also ramp slides, storage cabinet options, a 240-volt power tool socket and even a foldable dolly. Homeowners may choose to have an opening on one side and folding tables on the other, so it could be a viable way to get a food truck business off the ground. You could even go with a set of adventure vehicles.
