Call of Duty: Warzone turns into zombies

Verdansk was eventually overtaken by zombies. As of Thursday, contamination levels on Call of Duty: Warzone the map has reached 100% and even the players themselves are not safe to turn into undead.

Now that the entire map has been affected, it appears that certain areas where zombies first arrived in Verdansk have been contaminated with nuclear radiation. If players enter these areas, they begin to suffer damage that will eventually kill them. But, it seems, according to YouTuber Jackfrags, death is not the end if radiation attracts you. Instead, at least in team-based modes, players come back to life themselves like a zombie.

The latest briefing in the Raven Software universe mentions specialized gas masks, which could be a new type of equipment that allows players to safely – or more safely – explore these irradiated areas. In addition, there is a note on “critical safety measures”, along with an image that appears to show electrocuted zombies, but it is not clear what that means.

For now, these nuclear areas are only located at the wreck of the ship Vodianoy and at the prison, the first two areas of Verdansk that were infected by undead. However, it seems that the infection could spread quickly in the next week.

One thing we know for sure is that something big and bad is coming to Verdansk next week. In a tweet on Tuesday, Raven Software teased a massive event – potentially nuclear – that will hit the island on April 21. This massive event should mark the end War zone season 2, preparing for huge changes when season 3 begins.
