Killing a specific number of zombies will give you access to a special loot chest with items such as high-level weapons and a gas mask. But it is very likely that these zombie infestations will be more than just recording some equipment.
There is a possibility that this will just tease a new way Zombies for War zone. But this spread of undead is strongly teased by War zone developers Raven Software and Call of Duty BLOGS, which makes it easy to assume that something big is about to reach Verdansk.

An outbreak of zombies could be a fun way to send the Verdansk package, but I have my doubts that this event will be the satisfying end that many hope for.
My biggest concern is that all this accumulated for a Zombies event will pass in a crushing rhythm, like a corpse. I’ve been a big fan of community involvement in teasers and Easter egg puzzles in the game, but if you pull something hard enough, it loses its excitement.

I would love to see Raven Software really increase this infection process and give us a complete zombie-infested map with some interesting modes and twists. Maybe add some of the great “elite” zombies you find in Cold warZombies mode, or include some mini-Easter eggs to solve. We’ll see what happens next.
