The state of California has appealed a court order that allows San Diego County businesses with restaurant services that follow safety protocols to remain open.
The Court of Appeals for the Fourth Appellate District issued a temporary suspension on Friday pending the state appeal.

Judge Joel Wohlfeil of the San Diego County Superior Court has a Wednesday preliminary injunction preventing the county from enforcing California’s latest coronavirus restrictions after two strip clubs filed suit for policy violations.
Woehfeil said the clubs – Pacers International Showgirls and Cheetahs Gentleman’s Club – worked with their own protocols for five weeks. His order applied to “San Diego County restaurant service businesses” who follow security protocols “no greater than essential” for controlling the spread of the virus, the San Diego Union Tribune said.

A single judge of the district court has unilaterally thwarted public attempts to avert that impending catastrophe, by issuing an injunction allowing all restaurants in San Diego County to reopen without restriction, in violation of the orders and the judgment of the state’s most senior health officials, “the state states.
The court’s suspension offered no explanation, but the opposition had to respond next Wednesday.
Jason Saccuzzo, an attorney for Pacers, told the Associated Press that the clubs will ask the court to reconsider the suspension. He said they would continue to fight the “illogical and unconstitutional orders”.
The back and forth comes as California is experiencing a wave of coronavirus infections.
The County of San Diego Health and Human Services reported 3,611 new cases of coronavirus on Friday, bringing the cumulative total to 120,463.
The state itself has given a new one one-day record in coronavirus infections on Friday, when it registered 53,326 new cases.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times reported that the four deadliest days of the Golden State pandemic occurred in the past week.
