Calgary pastor calls police “Nazis” because he checked COVID over Easter weekend

Police were kicked out of a church in Calgary over the Easter weekend, a pastor calling them “Nazis,” after answering a call about COVID-19 concerns.

Pastor Artur Pawlowski of the Adullam Congregation in Canada recorded a video on Saturday calling local authorities “Nazis”, “Gestapos” and “Communists” while urging them to leave the church and not return unless mandated.

“I grew up under communism and my grandparents lived under the Nazis,” Pawlowski said. “My family got rid of the communists in Poland and went first to Greece and then to Canada to get rid of it. There were millions of Jews killed in Poland, including in Auschwitz. “

Pawlowski told the Toronto Sun that he drew the gun line at his church.

“This is a place of worship and no place for weapons,” he said. “We have people praying here. They scared the kids. It was Easter. This is Easter.”

Calgary police said there was “concern” that Pawlowski and his congregation were “not following government COVID-19 public health orders.”

“The assembly organizer did not cooperate with the health inspector and repeatedly raised his voice urging all parties to leave the premises, which they did about a minute after entry and in a peaceful manner,” police said. from Calgary in a statement, according to the Sun.

“No tickets were issued at that time and it will be up to the partner agencies to determine the subsequent law enforcement activity in response to this situation.”

Pawlowski received numerous tickets during the COVID-19 pandemic, the newspaper reported.
