Buffalo Bills rules out Cole Beasley

ORCHARD PARK, NY – The Buffalo Bills have ruled out Cole Beasley, who was sent off for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins as a result of a knee injury he suffered against the New England Patriots in Week 16.

Beasley, the team’s second receiver, left Buffalo’s victory over New England at the end of the fourth quarter and never returned. Coach Sean McDermott called Beasley “week-week.” The Bills will host their first playoff game in 25 years next weekend.

In his second year with Bills, Beasley set career highs of 967 yards and 82 catches on 107 goals. His loss for a longer period of time would leave Buffalo without his top receiver, but Bills turned wide receiver John Brown from the reserve / COVID-19 list on Friday.

The Houston Chronicle reported for the first time that Buffalo will sign wide receiver Kenny Stills after deleting the COVID-19 protocols, but McDermott said Bills’ interest in Stills has nothing to do with Beasley’s injury.
