Popular iPad accessory maker Brydge came out today with the latest iPad Pro accessory. The new Brydge 12.9 MAX + has a completely new design exclusively for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. This includes a new magnetic housing and a larger trackpad.
One of the most notable changes with this new Brydge 12.9 MAX + is the way it attaches to the iPad. Other Brydge keyboard models have used a hinge system that, while functional, makes the iPad difficult to remove.
The new Brydge 12.9 MAX + has a “SnapFit magnetic case” that attaches magnetically to the iPad Pro. This makes it significantly easier to remove the iPad Pro in and out of the keyboard case.
12.9 MAX + has an all-in-one SnapFit case designed to fit your iPad perfectly. Simply insert the iPad into the magnetic back cover to create the perfect productivity experience – whether you’re on the road or not. office or home.
The new MAX + also offers what Brydge calls “the largest multi-touch trackpad enabled for the iPadOS” ever. This, combined with Brydge’s recent announcement of multi-touch support, should make the MacBook experience very similar.
Other features of the Brydge 12.9 MAX + will be familiar to those who have used previous versions of the accessory. It has a MacBook-style aluminum design with a black keyboard and backlight. There’s also a USB-C port, but it’s only for charging 12.9 MAX +, not for connecting peripherals or charging the iPad itself.
