Cleveland Browns added another veteran defender on defense. Former Indianapolis Colts owner Anthony Walker has signed with the Browns.
Walker visited with the Browns Thursday morning and the team never let him consider another team. It’s a $ 3.5 million one-year transaction for 25-year-old Walker, per Adam Schefter on ESPN.
Browns adds a proven starter here. Walker has started 46 of 48 games in the last three seasons for the Colts quarterback. He averaged over 100 attacks per season for a defense that was designed for LBs to play.
Despite the high production, Walker did not get good results with Pro Football Focus in defense or coverage. His overall defense rating of 45.5 in 2020 is hardly above that won by Andrew Sendejo in Cleveland last season.
