The newest member of the Chiefs Kingdom has arrived.
On Sunday, Brittany Matthews, the fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, announced the birth of the couple’s first child, a little girl named Sterling.
“Sterling Skye Mahomes,” Brittany posted on Instagram, noting that the couple’s joy package was born on Saturday and weighs 6 lbs., 11 oz.
In a photo shared on her page, Matthews is seen wearing a “Sterling” necklace as he glances at his newborn daughter’s hand. Mahomes, 25, posted the same picture.
Before Sterling was born, Matthews shared photos of the maternity movie with Muhammad.
“My King,” he rushed to Instagram at the time.
Matthews, a certified personal trainer, announced her pregnancy in September, the same month she and Mahomes got engaged.
“Mom and Dad, taking a little detour at the wedding,” Matthews posted on Instagram at the time.
Muhammad, the MVP of the Super Bowl 2020, signed the richest contract in the history of the sport during the summer, a 10-year extension with the bosses worth 503 million dollars.
The Chiefs recently fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2021 Super Bowl earlier this month.
